Hattipaile
Before we proceed to our destiny on the way, there are few other household we need to meet with and in one of the household we met this really jolly man who worked in India as ‘carrier boy’ in security force and he served us meal, the SES of this particular village seemed limited otherwise.
Slowly we moved on to hattipaile, when the villages pointed out this village from below, it was just one finger length distance from there, but however high we go it never seems to come, the pine forest never and never came, my patience was really wearing out thin!
At last after two and half hours of climbing, we are near our destination! And here we have got to meet the teacher of the village, his is the only name we know, and we approached his home, the mother was in the nearby field, was high in the tree, cutting the tip of the tree for her lambs, she approached us with little apprehension, she won’t allow us to keep our baggage into her house. Eventually she opened up a bit, and served us the mohi- the best of the refreshing drink for me, and my first drink of mohi in my life gave me such a positive feeling about this original Nepalese drink! I will always opt for this refresher no onwards!
So then in the early eve, we carried on our work again, here in the village as in downhill, there were less number of youth present, in most household, old invalids lived in their own, and for the sake of fulfilling their basic need of food, they seemed all time busy!
In the eve, we ate the best kind of ‘dhedo- so mushy and tasty’. We slept with our feet pointing towards the door ( that is the norm there, you cannot point yr feet towards the fire-place) no need to pray for better nights, all night were best, deep sleep indeed after the whole day walking and in absence of any source of light, night was pitch dark yet the warmth of the host family gave us rays of light!
We were awoke early morning, as there was no toilet as if you are late to wake up, people will see you defecating ( shame!) so finished our early chores and were ready to leave for our next home at mathillo-syasirang!
